Archibald’s Honey

In 1920, Mr James Archibald bought a farm in the Mallee with beehives on it and as a result, his son Robert developed a keen, life long interest in bees and honey. A commercial beekeeper, he did not agree with honey bought and sold on colour, as was the case then. He was so adamant, that honey should be sold on flavour, that he started packing and selling honey varieties as we see today. This was the beginning of Archibald Honey – A family business – Robert, his wife Alma and son Gary, later joined by Gary’s wife Rosalie and now their son Stuart.
4th generation producers. 3rd generation packers. Only 100% Pure Australian Honey Since 1959.

Archibald’s Honey only sells top grade premium Australian honey. Our honey is produced away from cities and their pollutants. We choose proven old natural methods over using chemicals on our bees. We do not feed our bees sugar syrups to increase their ‘honey’ production. Instead, we leave enough honey on our bees for them to eat between honey flows. We process our honey as little as possible, to keep all the nutrients intact. We only warm the honey until it is liquid then run it through a bag strainer that collects any large particles and most of the beeswax. Our warming process is unique to us, it leaves us with honey that is not damaged or burnt by heat and honey that lasts a decent amount of time in the jar before starting to crystalize. Finally, to maintain our high standards, our organic honey range is certified organic by Organic Food Chain Australia as well as kosher for Passover and all year round by Kosher Australia. We are also HACCP certified by Derek Wilson Audit Services Pty Ltd.
