WilderCoyle

WilderCoyle aka ‘The Timber Trip’ – is a furniture company Nick Coyle founded in Brunswick Street Fitzroy over 20 years ago.
The business now operates as a partnership between Nick Coyle and his architect wife Sunny Wilder.
Together they are a well rounded business & design team, working commercially and domestically designing and crafting bespoke furniture for their clients.
Nick and Sunny enjoy the intimate process of tailor-making pieces to suit the clients requirements.
We offer the service of a design tailored to your brief, site measure and quote.
Once a piece is under construction, images of works-in-progress can be sent periodically as pieces are crafted so the client can be involved in the whole process from start to finish.
Works can be delivered Australia-wide. There is a lifetime guarantee on all WilderCoyle workmanship.

Since we began making furniture nearly 20 years ago, we have focused on the use of Australian timbers. We have such a vast range of species available here that vary in colour from pale blond to deep dark brown.
We do not use any stains, we finish all our pieces in a natural oil and wax finish that enhances the grain pattern and natural colour of the timber.
Where possible we use recycled timbers. We only source new timbers from sustainably harvested sources. By using Australian timbers rather than imported timbers for furniture we give life to our natural forestry resource rather than using our trees for wood chips (toilet paper). Imported timbers may be easier to work with but we are committed to enjoying the challenges that native timbers present us with.
