Coaldale Walnuts was established in 1997. We planted Franquette and Chandler grafted varieties in the deep alluvial soils on the banks of the Coal River near historic Richmond in southern Tasmania.
We practice sustainable agriculture using mainly organic fertilisers and management practices which enhance the integrity and biodiversity of our soils. We recycle all orchard waste to create compost for later use, including compost tea which is irrigated onto the orchard.
We are proud to produce a high-quality health product, and we are members of the Australian Walnut Industry Association and Coal River Product Association.
