It all began back in 2005, when we gave up the Perth city life for the beautiful Denmark countryside. It wasn’t long before our passion for connecting people to good things grew into a new and exciting opportunity.
Our winery, The Lake House Denmark, was soon established and a cellar door and restaurant opened, along with our vineyard platters – lavish gourmet spreads featuring the very best South West produce matched with small batch gourmet condiments, all made in-house.
Making homemade condiments for family and friends had been a passion of mine for a number of years and when creating The Lake House Denmark’s vineyard platters, the idea for a condiment range blending natural ingredients with wine came about.
After many requests from customers, we picked a selection of favourites including our merlot wine jelly, fig, apple & chardonnay chutney and seeded chardonnay mustard and Vinofood was born. Now there was a way for customers to experience a taste of the good life at home and re-create the vineyard platters they had enjoyed.
We wanted to capture what we consider ‘the good life’ in a jar, so it was imperative that our products had no nasties like preservatives, artificial colours or flavours but did include all the good things like locally sourced, natural ingredients.
Our Vinofood specialty range has expanded to make cooking and entertaining easy and now includes sweet and savoury sauces, dressings, jams and preserves, chutneys, relishes and rocky road chocolates, with five delicious flavours.
