Heritage Estate Wines

Heritage Estate Wines manages two vineyards: the first, at an altitude of 960 metres located at Cottonvale in the northern Granite Belt is perfectly situated for the production of white wines.
The older, slightly less mineralised soils of Cottonvale allow us to produce very distinctive Chardonnay, Fiano and Savagnin that differ in their structure and flavour from those produced elsewhere in the region.
The second vineyard at Ballandean, at 840 metres elevation, produces wonderful reds and includes some of the oldest vines in the region with the Old Vine Shiraz produced of out 60-year-old vines. These are a superb example of a cool climate Shiraz. intense, long and immensely satisfying, this is a hard Shiraz to go past.
Heritage Estate Terroir is based on Permian sedimentary rocks, intrusive granites and extensive Tertiary basalts.
Our winery is situated in Cottonvale adjacent to our main cellar door. The winery has an approximate capacity of 80 tonnes per annum and, unusually for a winery our size, includes a full 1000 bottle per hour bottling and labelling line.
