House of Cards

Our name ‘House of Cards’ was inspired by the gamble winemakers and growers take every vintage- you have to play the hand that you are dealt. All fruit used to make House of Cards wine comes from our certified organic single vineyard situated on the iconic Caves Road at the northern end of the Margaret River Region in Western Australia.
Making handcrafted wines of exceptional quality is the sole priority of House of Cards.

All the fruit that goes into the making of House of Cards wine comes from our 12 hectare vineyard planted in 1997 located in the Yallingup sub-region of the Margaret River Wine Region. The varietals grown on site include cabernet sauvignon, shiraz, merlot, malbec, petit verdot, chardonnay and sauvignon blanc. Currently we have four different clones of cabernet sauvignon and plan to keep experimenting with clones of different varieties in the future.
Our vineyard is dry grown and cropped at low levels to increase concentration of fruit flavours. With the orientation of the vines planted, East to West allows for longer hang time resulting in grapes with greater flavours.
The House of Cards vineyard was certified organic in November 2020. Organic practices are utilised to improve soil health and vine nutrition and to help create a healthy, sustainable ecology.
